Co-Impact Sourcing

dōTERRA’s co-impact sourcing is an initiative that seeks to develop long-term, mutually beneficial supplier partnerships while creating sustainable jobs and providing reliable income in underdeveloped areas.

The co-impact sourcing policy empowers the farmers and communities at the point of origin of the natural products to act as a collective entity. This ensures maximum bargaining power, above living standard wage, access to unconditional investment and harvesting equipment.

The policy encourages the suppliers to focus on minimising environmental damage, using renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emission. Priority is given to raw materials over manufactured so that the co-impact suppliers and Dotty’s Oils can be confident that sustainable processes are being used during extraction.

Rigorous accountability checks are undertaken with all suppliers, from the growers to the distillers to ensure that fair wages and workers rights are upheld throughout the entire process. The focus is on long-term community growth rather than high profits. You can be assured that when you buy from Dotty’s, the money is going back into the development of the communities at the heart of the essential oils production.
