Essential Oil Workshops

We have an oil for that… and we'd like to share it with you!

It's all very well us saying that using dōTERRA products are amazing (they are) and that they can assist and support health and wellbeing (they do) but how do you know that? We want to introduce you to the world of essential oils!

To help you on your essential oils journey, we host essential oil workshops to share our knowledge of how dōTERRA oils can be diffused, applied topically or taken internally to promote wellbeing. We aim to create a stress-free and fun learning environment.

If you want to know more about single essential oils or even how to create the perfect essential oil blend, we are here to help. We can guide you through the therapeutic properties of essential oils and give you some ideas to create blends with carrier oils.

Essential oil workshops are held in London, in Surrey, South Wales and online.

Rina and Sylvia share their knowledge and skills by hosting workshops at their respective homes or the homes of essential oils enthusiasts interested in learning about dōTERRA.

But we also host essential oil workshops in Cafes, in Community Centres, in bars... anywhere there is space to open a few bottles of essential oils and have a conversation!

Essential oil workshops are fun, informal and are tailored to individuals or groups (grab a few friends and bring them along for the ride!). We host workshops face-to-face but also online. There's simply no excuse for not reaching out to us…

We will work with you to put together a package that is within your budget! Essential oil samples and materials are sent out in advance of the workshop.

Make Your Own Cleaning Products Workshop

Want to use natural, green cleaning products - made by you, for you? Want to rid your home of toxins? We can help! We have been trialling a new style of group workshop - the Make Your Own Cleaning Products workshop. They have been a huge success! We can arrange for these workshops to take place online, and we’ll send you all of the materials that you’ll need.

It all began in 2016 when Sylvia upgraded her septic tank at home to a domestic waste treatment centre. The treatment centre sits underground and collects household sewage, which then decomposes through bacterial activity before draining away.

What is the relevance of this? Well, because the tank requires bacterial activity, regular household cleaning products such as bleach and (wait for it...) anti-bacterial sprays were a big no-no! In searching for alternative ways to keep her home clean, Sylvia began making her own natural cleaning products. It’s perfect for her treatment centre and it’s great for the environment too!

What can you expect from the workshop?

We will begin by showcasing some of the natural cleaning products we have made using essential oils. Our favourites include Multi-Purpose Spray, Toilet Blocks and Mould and Mildew Preventer.

Once you have seen the array of natural cleaning products you can make, you will then choose three products to make yourself.

You will be able to select from a range of essential oils. Perhaps you are you interested in using essential oils that are anti-microbial? Or perhaps you are keen to know which essential oils are anti-bacterial and which are anti-viral?

If you are like us, the aroma sensation created by the essential oils will be at the top of your list!

We love combining more than one essential oil and can help you do the same. Lemon and Spearmint blend really well together and are often used in our Toilet Blocks (Sylvia’s creation). Grapefruit and Eucalyptus is another great combination delivering a clean and refreshing aroma in our Kitchen Surface Spray.

We also know how to pare it back though and are not afraid of using single essential oils or bold aromas to achieve a particular aim. Rina’s preferred Shower Spray uses one essential oil only and that is Ylang Ylang. It is a floral, sweet and exotic scent that reminds Rina of her travels in Kerala and her first experience of an outdoor shower!

In a nutshell, we will provide the recipes, the containers, the materials and a whole range of essential oils to enable you to make your own natural cleaning products.

All you have to do is decide which three cleaning products to make and which essential oils you would like to use to enhance your cleaning products.

You make the products… you take them home. It’s as simple as that!

Our make your own cleaning products workshops are priced at £50 and if we are hosting the workshops online, an extra £7.50 p&p will be added. Each workshop lasts on average, 75 minutes, but there will be plenty of time at the end for further discussion.

Essential Oils you can use in your home-made cleaning products

Here are some ideas to whet your appetite…

Lemon essential oil is commonly used as a disinfectant and is also great degreaser.

Oregano essential oil is a real powerhouse - we call it “nature’s natural antibiotic”. The potent properties of oregano are reputed to be strong enough to inhibit e-coli.

Peppermint essential oil has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, insecticidal, antispasmodic and carminative properties. Do you have a problem with spiders or other creepy crawlies? Pop a few drops of Peppermint essential oil into a glass spray bottle along with some water and spray the affected liberally. Creepy crawlies no more.

Thyme essential oil is rich in thymol, carvacrol, and linalool. These constituents will help you stay protected from bacteria and other environmental threats, even those found in food.

Melaleuca essential oil (commonly called Tea Tree) has antibacterial and purifying properties. We have also found that adding a few drops to your flower arrangements at home will keep them perky for a bit longer!

Lavender essential oil is associated with peace and tranquility for many but will also cheer up your laundry in no time. Add a few drops to each wash - it helps prevent mould and mildew from building up.

Clove essential oil is a natural antiseptic agent known for its spicy aroma. Its antibacterial and anti-fungal activity can be attributed to the compound called eugenol. Clove essential oil contains about 80% - 90% of eugenol.
